This apartment in the heart of San Salvario, Turin, has undergone a complete renovation. The space was entirely reimagined to respond to the new ways of living of its occupants.
The entrance, originally open to the corridor, was closed off to create a more intimate and welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by the green color of the doors, which helps define the identity of the space.
The kitchen was relocated to the living area, creating a single open and convivial space designed as the heart of daily life.
A master suite was created, featuring a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom. The project also includes a guest bathroom, a laundry corner, and the conversion of the former kitchen into a study.
The intervention completely transformed the internal layout while preserving selected original elements that add character and a sense of memory to the home. The Italian herringbone parquet, discovered beneath the carpet, was restored and enhanced. The dark wooden boiserie in the entrance and living area was retained and repainted, helping to lighten and harmonize the overall atmosphere.
In the bathrooms, materials were chosen in soft, natural tones such as terracotta and light blue, combined with wooden elements to create a warm and relaxing ambiance.
