This apartment was originally designed in the 1970s by an architect who lived there for over fifty years. When the new owners commissioned its renovation, the intention was to preserve a sense of continuity with the existing character of the space.

Key original elements were carefully retained, including the wooden flooring, brass handles, and most notably the bespoke Bordeaux-colored library in the living room, along with the original paneled entrance walls. The presence of red tones and brass detailing became the guiding thread of the project, subtly linking past and present.

A significant transformation in the layout concerns the closure of the secondary service entrance. This area has been redefined as a transitional vestibule leading to the kitchen, integrating custom-made storage. Behind blush-toned doors are concealed a laundry area, a wardrobe, and a technical space housing the electrical panel. In the kitchen, wood is combined with marble and soft beige tones, creating a bright, balanced space that enhances natural light.

Both bathrooms were redesigned with a more contemporary language, using materials such as brass, wood, and decorative tiles. The first, a private bathroom, features warm tones and delicately patterned floral tiles, creating an intimate and refined atmosphere. The second bathroom accommodates a sculptural bathtub and is distinguished by coral-toned tiles framing the washbasin area.

Particular attention was given to lighting design, notably through the integration of recessed LEDs within the walls, enhancing the texture of the tiles while producing a soft, atmospheric glow.
